8 Podcasts Every Entrepreneur Should Listen To

Posted on

Podcasts are the best. I know it's a bold statement but I'll make it anyway. You can listen to them while commuting, while exercising, while cooking - and you always feel just a bit smarter or have a laugh more than you would otherwise.

Over the past few years, there have been podcasts popping up about entrepreneurship. We've picked out a few that can help you learn about starting and running a business, while you're running around your day to day life. (They're all free, of course!)

Mixergy: Startup Stories

Mixergy hosts in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs that have made it. It's meant to be inspirational and keep you motivated, while giving you some real-time talk.

They've also presented six interviews in a "how-to" series for building a company, covering topics like product development, customer acquisition and sales. All the conversations are candid and upbeat, keeping it light and interesting the whole time.

This Is Your Life

This Is Your Life is hosted by Michael Hyatt. His focus is on leadership skills and facing challenges that you'll come across as a business leader. If you've moved from just yourself in your studio to running a team, and you feel a bit lost when it comes to how to keep everyone motivated and productive, this is the podcast for you.

The Tim Ferriss Show

The Tim Ferriss Show was the first business podcast to surpass 100 million downloads, and hit #1 New York Times bestselling book list. Ferriss looks into the lives of the rich and famous, bringing them in from different industries. He interviews them and analyses what it was that boosted them to the top, plus delivers advice that's practical for those starting out.

Rather than just focusing on startups, Tim Ferriss interviews people from all over - from sports to philosophy. This show can help you find your new business role model.

The #AskGaryVee Show

Good ol' Gary Bee hosts a Q&A show focused on marketing, social media and entrepreneurship. He's an entrepreneur himself, and is known for tackling difficult questions head on with audacity and a straightforward take.

You can interact with the show yourself - tweet to Gary for the chance to hear your question answered on his podcast.

Entrepreneur on Fire

If you just can't get enough, John Lee Dumas's show Entrepreneur On Fire runs seven days a week. He interviews inspirational entrepreneurs who have constructive and actionable advice on every aspect of business.

All In: Elevating Your Leadership Game

Finally a woman entrepreneur! Hosted by the inspirational Alicia Dunams, this show is about helping people build their business through public relations. Using a combination of her own motivational speaking and experience, plus special guests who have done everything in business, econ and international affairs, All In is a powerhouse to listen to.

Eventual Millionaire

Jamie Masters is taking it one step at a time, with the dream of becoming a millionaire someday. She's taking the rest of us along with her, and recording her steps. Every episode centers around one person and their story of success.

The Foundation

The Foundation is a video series, great for people who need that visual to stay concentrating. His program features guests who made it in the business world, that discuss cutting ideas and their past journeys. It's a great series for - as you guessed it - building a foundation for your business.
